About Us

Our mission:

To provide knowledgeable, caring support and service to our clients and their pets.

It is our intent to be the pet store that people remember. We want to be the one you just can’t wait to tell your friends about. Whether it’s the friendliness or knowledge of our sales staff, the cleanliness of our store or the obvious care of our animals, we want our customers to leave not just satisfied, but happy, and eager to spread the word.

We take great care to insure that our standards are above and beyond that of our competition. Like the great Walt Disney said, “Do what you do so well, that people can’t help but tell others about you.”

Meet the WildSide Team

Our small staff is composed of dedicated, caring individuals, who will always go one step further to make sure you and your pets are happy and healthy.

Cindy Taylor, co-owner: Cindy got her start working with animals when she was just nine years old. The local shop allowed her to do volunteer work for store credit to care for her pet snake. Her impressive career spans decades and includes managing several top of the line establishments in two states. She has extensive experience with exotic pets including primates, reptiles, parrots, saltwater fish and small exotics like sugar gliders and hedgehogs. Cindy was an original member of the Pacific Northwest Herpetological Society and has lent her expertise to zoos, aquariums, exotic animal rehabilitation facilities and veterinarians. In 2004, she took the opportunity to take her knowledge and experience as well as her love for helping pet owners to the logical next step and opened The WildSide – Tropical Fish & Exotic Pets with her daughter, Cari, as her partner.

Cari Aida, co-owner/office manager: Cari has spent her entire life working with animals both at home and professionally. She got her start working with pets as a career very young by helping her mom out at the store she managed and by the time she graduated high school she was already in a senior position at the store. Cari is continuing the family tradition and is raising her three daughters in the pet industry as well. Her area of specialties is working with squirrels, chinchillas and other small animals (including rehabilitation) but she has extensive knowledge with dogs, cats, birds, reptiles and much more.

Together with their team of animal care professionals, Cindy and Cari are committed to making The WildSide your top choice for all of your pet food, supply and care needs.
